As the world observes Breast Cancer awareness month, we would like to salute the spirit of our very own patient, Manmeet Kaur. Her story reinforces our belief that cancer need not lead to dysfunction, loss of self esteem or depression. Instead, her brush with cancer led to reinforced grit, determination and focus.
Her experience also drives home the message yet again that in many cases, the sooner cancer is diagnosed and treated, the better a person’s chance for a full recovery.
Manmeet is a Senior Associate at Karanjawala & Co, a leading law firm. Recently, her senior, Ms. Meghna Mishra, while recommending her name for a bonus on account of exemplary performance, had this to say of her :
“Manmeet was diagnosed with Breast Cancer in June 2015 and was operated upon in September 2015. Thereafter, she underwent rigorous chemotherapy. During the entire period of treatment Manmeet continued to attend office and tried to discharge work assigned to her. There were days when she was in evident physical discomfort but she continued to push herself and tried to contribute as much as possible (this was despite her knowing that she could take leave for the entire period of treatment). Manmeet has shown extra ordinary commitment and dedication to her work which is clearly indicative of her sincerity and sense of responsibility. In view of the above I would recommend her for the exemplary effort, dedication, commitment and sincerity shown by her.”
Her courage, positivity and fighting spirit inspires us to do even more in our fight against cancer and we wish her all the best for her bright future.
